Blue River Career Programs currently offers 14 programs for high school students. Most of the BRCP high school programs offer dual college credits through Ivy Tech or Vincennes University. Most offer industry certifications, thus preparing students for college and career pathways.

Funding for these secondary programs comes directly from the sending school corporations. Additionally, there is a very strong Adult Basic Education (ABE) program offered that encompasses the High School Equivalency (HSE) class, English Language Learners(ELL), and a multitude of certificated adult training programs.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

CNAs provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. CNAs perform such patient care tasks as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, or moving patients. Other support tasks such as changing bed linens may also be required. CNAs may also need to transfer or transport patients.

Child Development Associate Certificate

CDAs instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school in preschool, day care center, or other child development facility.

Construction (NCCER CORE/OSHA 10)

Construction laborers will operate a wide variety of both hand and power tools as well as measuring equipment to complete job tasks. Construction laborers also support craft workers, so interpersonal and communication skills are also important for this job.

High School Equivalency Diploma

If you don’t have your High School Diploma, this is your first step. Blue River Adult Education offers classes that are specifically targeted to teach Math, Language, Reading, Science, and Social Studies so that our students are able to pass the Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC) and earn their High School Equivalency Diploma (HSE).
