Details
Graduates are eligible for the credentialing exams for national and state certification as an EMT. The program utilizes classroom, lab, clinical and field experiences covering the material found in the National EMS Education Standards.
The Emergency Medical Technician program consists of classroom instruction, psychomotor skill development, emergency department, and field clinicals.
The following items are not provided by the program and must be brought to the first class session:
- Textbook (Link to purchase will be sent by email)
- Uniform Shirt/s (Link to purchase will be sent by email)
- Stethoscope
- Adult manual blood pressure cuff
- Professional navy or black pants (EMS 'tech' pants or dress pants)
- Black (uniform style) belt, Black leather shoes or boots
- Watch with a second hand (smart watches may be used but will not be allowed during tests)
- Paper, pencil, and black ink pen
- Laptop or tablet is optional.
